And Dubas was ready to make a splash and trade Marner 2 years ago, and wasn't' allowed to. We'll never know if he could have improved the team with that trade, but here we are 2 years later no further ahead.

I think all the Dubas haters probably owe him an apology. He never actually got the make the decisions, it was Shanahan overseeing everything the entire time.

A real leader in management would have identified the failure of these guys to come through years ago and broken up the core. It's a difficult move but it had to be done, the mix just isn't working.

I don't like the sound of that Pelley statement. Every year they make 1 change and say it's enough. One year was hiring Treliving. The following year giving the captaincy to Matthews. Now this year is changing Shanahan the sole move? "Bring back the core!"
