Skimmed through the game today, thought the Leafs looked marginally better. More aggressive (McCabe stood out there), and the newcomers seem to be coming along, especially Joshua. Robertson on the first line, never thought I'd see it! I'd like to see more of that even if Nylander is ready to return next game.
On the other hand, is Max Domi playing himself out of the lineup? Another slow start with 1 point in 9 games and -7 to boot. Pretty obvious to me that Berube doesn't know what to do with him, didn't really give him much of a shot with Matthews though he did look pretty ineffective in his short time there. At this point, I wonder if he brings anything more to the lineup than Robertson. Sure, every once in a while he'll go off and attack someone or fight, but it's pretty rare and other than that he's not doing much. Robertson is probably more physical and better defensively.
Jarnkrok looks to have settled back into invisible mode so he can come out when others are back.
