Quite the contrast between Sundin's and Tavares'. I feel bad for John. He had a crappy game and then this anti-climax.

He scored plenty along the ice in junior too.Thank you, Jason, for teaching Nick this shot
Also, I get that the goal came in a blowout but we seriously didn't celebrate Tavares' 500th goal? Why does this team suck?
We don't stick up for our goalies. We don't stick up for our teammates. We don't celebrate the 49th 500 goal scorer in league history.
Go away.
Yeah I have no issue with not celebrating it on the ice. Would have been silly. If it happened in Toronto there would have been a big celebration. Under the circumstances, I don't think I would have wanted a celebration. I'm sure in the room there was recognition and probably a nice dinner afterward.
MLHS:
– Of course, McMann might be able to collect some cheap points if his centerman was producing. Auston Matthews is on a three-game pointless streak; in a vacuum, those things will happen. More concerning is the way he’s playing. He has 13 shots on net over the three games, but it’s a deceiving number. He simply doesn’t look dangerous. He’s not taking shifts over, let alone games, let alone looking like the best player on the ice.
In other words, welcome to last season. If this holds, nothing else matters.
McMann has been invisible the last couple games, especially playing alongside Matthews.
And they were our best line. 34,74,89 gave up 1 shot last night and had some good chances. I thought 89 had a strong game overall. 74 was def the weak link. I would like to see Cowan with Robertson and 34 if Nylander can't go next game. If 88 is good, leave 89 on the left side but we all know it's doubtful Berube will do that.McMann has been invisible the last couple games, especially playing alongside Matthews.
