    2025 Offseason Thread: Spring Cleaning

I agree we need at least one more puck mover back there but I wouldnt even consider Rielly a strong puck mover at this point in career as he looked to be one of the worst for handling heavy forecheck and making sound decisions under pressure. He is still a strong skater but is not an overly...

I think Trent Frederick (ufa) would fit the description

    2025 Offseason Thread: Spring Cleaning

I would support a Rielly buyout. As much as I do like his character and honesty as a good interview I'm of the opinion that we have to move on from the longest standing Leaf one way or another. I dont really see a trade scenario where we wouldn't either have to eat some salary (btw thanks Dubas...

    2025 Offseason Thread: Spring Cleaning

I would either try to resign Marner (without any ntc's) or somehow see if he would be willing to do a sign and trade (I know the chances are remote). If Mitch were to agree to sign and trade it would allow him to graciously walk away from this organization and fanbase without further criticism.

    R2, G7: Panthers @ Maple Leafs - May 18th, 7:30pm - SN, TSN 1050

it cost them less to get Marchand then what Leafs gave up for Laughton.

44 has been a defensive liability all series, well all season for that matter.

so i guess obstruction and interfenece is no longer a penalty?

Pretty much did nothing otherwise and I dont think that goal is going to be enough to keep him in lineup for game 7.

Why does Pacioretty look to be the only one that cares and plays pissed off out there?

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I would even consider going 11 and 7 and bringing in Myers as a big body fresh dman that can inflict some pain and take some tough minutes away from some others. He would be an improvement over how Rielly looks in his own end.

hopefully Jarnkrok sits, Ive seen enough of his limbs moving fast yet not really having any impact. Its also hilarious watching him try to hit someone with no affect

    Lightning vs. Maple Leafs - Apr. 9th, 7:00pm - SN, TSN 1050

Is it just me or is there a serious lack of effective PK forwards on this team (especially from bottom 6)? Shouldn't have to consistently throw Matthrews and Marner to block shots. Imo, Laughton seems pretty useless (along with Jarnkrok) on pk. Neither are quick enough to pressure pucks nor...

    2025 World Juniors

Honestly Cowans play had been very dissapointing. He needs to get that motor going instead of sitting back waiting for his linemates to do the work. He is not that offsensively gifted to sit back and think he is the shooter/finisher role.

    Luke Schenn

Currently watching Flyers - Devils game (thanks to free preview of Nhl Centre ice) and can't help but notice how well Luke Schenn is skating.  It is like night and day compared to last season and I'm not sure if this can be credited to working with Barb Underhill in off season or not but he...

    Philippe Dupuis

I am not really sure what he has done to maintain his spot in the line-up.  Personally, I would rather see Darryl Boyce playing in his spot on the 4th line.  Dupuis isn't overly fast, has not shown that he can be dangerous offensively, and in not very intimidating on the forecheck.... I think...
