I find myself in a very strange situation, I wanted this team burned down 3 years ago, when people defended Matthews I said no he should be the first to go, but they didn't and here we are, and for some reason I find myself pulling for them this year...lol Why? I look at the last 3 games and...

Ok maybe I should have said defensive play instead of just D and I really don't think we've completely disappeared, we are scoring, lets see if Woll can give us a spark, sometimes that's all that's needed but who knows.

Thanks for the stats, and yes maybe a goal here and there can be attributed to losing you know, But overall we're scoring enough to be near the top if we could get some D and goaltending.

Yup, and some members here need to stop talking about you know who, the fact is we're 4th in goals scored per game but last ln goals against, D and goaltending need a big improvement.

We are currently 4th in goals scored per game, guess where we are in goals against, yup last. We're scoring enough to win, gotta do something about the other. It's not losing Marner.

Ok got it, interesting Nylander is in third, so does that make up for Marners lost production on the top line? Not sure, is there a way to find out what Matthews p/gp was this time last year? It would be interesting to see how M&M compare to W&M this year.

From NHL .com Knies is 16th Marner is 24th. We'll see how he does in the playoffs.

Not so sure, Marner is sitting 24th in points right now, and Matthews is 59th, I think Matthews and Marner had something that lifted both of them and now they are a apart neither are playing as well as they could. And lets see what happens to Marner in the playoffs.

The thing with a hot goalie it can change the dynamics of a team, Roy in 93, Binnington, and of course Bobrovsky, no way that team even makes the playoffs in 22/23 yet they rode him to the finals, a couple of key saves the last 2 games and things are different.

It's very hard to watch this team play right now.

True but those two blocker goals need to be stopped, hate to keep pointing it out but why did Florida make their first final? No way that team without Bob even makes the playoffs. Gotta make those saves.
