I'm pretty skeptical about Babcock winning but I think the only real question with Matthews will be whether or not it's a unanimous victory. I'd understand a first place vote for Murray and, at a push, Werenski but any other first place vote I'd think would be pretty hard to justify.

Matthews's Calder will be the Leafs' first significant trophy since Mogs copped the Lady Byng (and didn't bother to show up to receive it IIRC).

That word, I do not think it means what you think it means.

I expect Winnipeg voters to give Laine their top spot - which, in any other season, he's probably deserve.

Although Gary Lawless, who was in Winnipeg before going to Vegas,  already stated he voted for Matthews.  This is the same guy who wrote that article early in the season saying Laine was better now and will be better in the future.

I doubt it. I don't think they'd want to be seen as homers for what will ultimately be a futile vote.

Nothing quite says the glitz and glamour of award shows like announcing trades for 6th round picks.

haha A series of plumbers being selected with complete background soundtrack. The highlight of their careers.

Someone gave Shea Weber a first place Norris vote.

9 writers out there didn't think Karlsson was a top-3 defenseman this season. That's a pretty easy indicator that they need their credentials revoked.

Also 1 person out there thought that Torey Krug had a better season than one of Karlsson or Burns. Good job Boston homer.
