Any MLSE posters here?

I used to have an account here about10 years ago but lost interest as the Leafs sucked for the past decade.  It was great to see the Leafs play well and make the playoffs last season.  But back then I suspected employees of MLSE would post messages here to either bash what some Leaf fans were commenting or to attempt to neutralize the negative views of the fans as to how the team was being managed.

There are some really great posters here who are clearly true fans of the team whose opinions are highly regarded and post intelligent, sincere and honest messages who do not deserve to be bashed by those who work for or are associated with the hockey team just because they cannot handle true and justified criticism of the team.

Instead of bashing other posters do something about the team to make the team better?  A potential Shanahan hire is a great step IMHO.  Sure there may be idiots who will continue to bash the team even when the team is doing great, but we can take care of those morons ourselves.  We do not need your help doing that.

Yeah MLSE bullies!  Let the Leaf fan collective manage the team!  We might not agree, but if we all voted on each move, you'd find yourself steering in the right direction.  David Clarkson's wouldn't happen.  *laugh*

I have no idea, in all honesty, what this thread means, but if I could add anything to this, it would be my wish to turn off the part of my brain that's a Leafs fan.

What do you mean by MLSE posters? Like employees who work at MLSE?

I think this is a thread wherein someone is genuinely asking if any of us are MLSE employees engaged in a disinformation campaign on this board for the purposes of managing fan perception of the club.

And while this does sound insane, there was a theory earlier this year that the Oilers hired a PR firm to do just that and that they were posting on HFBoards about how great the team's future was. I didn't follow the story too much, but it seemed like that was sufficient evidence to at least make people wonder if it was true.

Granted, that's definitely not happening here. Just wanted to pass along the story.

In that case, I'm Brendan Shanahan.

"Theory" in this case meaning what it means to the Texas Education Agency when they're buying science textbooks?

Man, hiring a PR firm to sway public opinion on HF Boards would be like trying to get The Hulk to go to anger management therapy.

93forever, just because of some 'vitriolic' comments does not mean that someone is a part of or works for MLSE.  I myself am guilty of some comments but that's because deep down, I love the Leafs and I love hockey.  Many are extremely disappointed at the ensuing results of the team's finish this year.  It has left a very bitter mark for the LeafsNation.

I've been following the Leafs since I was 9-10 years old, I'm 50 now, and you know, none of us wants to wait until we all become Rip Van Wrinkles before the Leafs win a Cup...I mean, the Leafs WILL win the Cup someday, my dear Watson, it's the law of averages Sherlock.

The only question begs...CUANDO? ??? ?!!!!!

Now, do I get a post within the organization? :D :) :)

If there is a post available at MLSE, I would like to the the first one to point out that I do pour water pretty well into a glass...just putting it out there incase there is an opening.

I am almost in the same age bracket as you and have been a Leaf fan similar in length.  I just couldn't help but notice the responses to other posters and how the responses put down these posters.  I cannot see how other fans would make such responses, they could only come from MLSE staffers.

I know we are all adults and can take care of ourselves, but being a true member of Leafs Nation since 1974, I consider my fellow Leaf fans to be brothers and sisters and if one of us is being put down unfairly, we need to come to their defence.

There probably are MLSE employee posters on this site. I don't understand why you think they are going to reveal themselves to you...
