Bernier's injury

With Bernier out, Drew MacIntyre to join #Leafs as early as today. Reimer expected to start vs #Caps 3pm Sunday on @Sportsnet Ontario

I actually think we are sitting pretty, Riemer is in facto a starting goalie on most teams and MacIntyre has stood on his head for the Marlies and should in fact probably be a back up anywhere else in the NHL.  Don't get me wrong I love Bernier but I don't think we are going to suffer with this

Hope you're right. Would be nice for Leafs to reel off 3-4 wins now.

So is Drew MacIntyre a bit of a cross between Mike Peca and Steve Buscemi?

Their next 5 games are all against teams they really want to take as many points as they can from.  But Reimer is a quality goaltender.  I would really like to see them give Bernier an extended rest if there is any question of a nagging injury.  Don't be stupid and have him play in the next 2-3 starts just to re-aggravate what I am assuming is a groin strain.

I've often wondered if they are purposely not playing Reimer knowing full well he has a glass head.  Reducing his exposure to risk so they can call on him when needed, but not rely on him.

Low grade, groin muscle strain.  Day to day.

not that I dont believe it, who reported it.

Announced by the team, reported on Leafs lunch with Bryan Hayes just now.

I think it's simply after the game 7 debacle last year Leafs brass decided Reimer isn't the guy who could win the big game. They were going to go with someone else.
