Game Notes

CBJ
?Bobrovsky (7-6-0, 2.60 GAA, .917 Sv%) will likely start for the Blue Jackets
?Columbus' current 7-game point streak (5-0-2) has thrust them into 1st place in the Metropolitan division
?Panarin and Bobrovsky, the teams two franchise players, are both scheduled to become UFAs this upcoming July 1st and many feel like both could be playing their final seasons with the team
?Panarin is having another terrific season, leading the team in scoring with 21 points in 19 games
?Bobrovsky got off to a rough start, winning just twice in his first seven games while posting a .882 Sv%. He's 5-1 with a .954 Sv% since then though

TOR
?Andersen (11-5-0, 2.08 GAA, .934 Sv%) will start for the Leafs
?Andersen is on a 5-game winning streak and has allowed only 6 goals in that stretch while posting a .966 Sv%

Weird scheduling tidbit for the league: the 1st and 2nd place teams (Nashville and Tampa), and the 3rd and 4th place teams (Toronto and Columbus) play each other tonight.

There was some early season chatter (during a brief moment of struggle) of Josh Anderson being moved, and that Dubas kicked the tires on him. If he was a left wing, it'd probably already be done.

He's tough, hits, fights and can score.

An underrated aspect of Dubas' team building has been his targeting of known goons in the AHL, and upgrading their skills through the dev and coaching staff. I don't know if it's a galaxy-brain market inefficiency (fighters are low cost, usually typecast early in their careers due to it being their standout ability, and popular in the dressing room), or if it's just Dubas' understanding of the AHL landscape's requirements.

Zdeno Chara was initially cast as a fighter for the Islanders before finally being given more of a chance to play with the sens and Bruins.

I totally forgot that Chara was originally an Islander cause it's been so long now.  Man the Islanders have made some bad moves in recent memory.

Seriously, remember when they signed Komarov and traded for Martin?

That one is on Marner. Brought the puck back into the zone, lost it and then didn't pick up the open man. And yes Hainsey clearing attempt wasn't the best.
