Game Notes

NJ
?Cory Schneider (2-0-0, 1.50 GAA, .955 Sv%) will likely start for the Devils
?The Devils are off to a bit of a surprising start, going 2-0 and having 10 GF and 3 GA in the process. Although their wins came against Colorado and Buffalo, so they haven't been tested much yet
?19-year old rookie Jesper Bratt, a 6th round pick by the Devils in 2016, is leading the way with 5 points in New Jersey's 2 games
?The 1st overall draft pick in 2017, Nico Hischier, has 1 assist in his first 2 games but is still looking for his first NHL goal
?Brian Boyle, who was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia last month, has not suited up for the Devils yet this season, but he is making progress

TOR
?Andersen (3-0-0, 3.28 GAA, .892 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?Sounds like Carrick will sit again because of an upper-body injury, while Moore goes back in for Fehr

Injuries

?Kyle Palmieri - Knee - Questionable Wednesday
?Drew Stafford - Lower Body - Doubtful Wednesday
?Travis Zajac - Pectoral - Injured Reserve
?Michael McLeod - Knee - Injured Reserve
Code:

?Nathan Horton - Back - Out indefinitely
?Joffrey Lupul - Actually Injured - Out indefinitely
?Connor Carrick - Upper Body - Out Wednesday

Ugh. Can they not move the mid-week face offs back to 7pm for us overseas viewers?

I fear we're due a blip bad game. I hope it isn't this one.

Kind of surprised to see them trounce both teams. Hopefully we can solve Schneider and keep the streak going.

I just read a few days ago that all Leaf home games this year were a 7 PM start....so much for that report...

The annoying thing about it was that even the 7pm starts it's about 7.15 before they start after all the pre-game faff and presentations and all that, so 7.30 tends to be approaching 1am our time before it gets going.

I'm getting old now to the point I might have to cut down to weekend games only cos I can't do being tired the next day any more  :'(

I saw the (somewhat shorthanded) Devils dismantle a hapless Sabres squad. They're pretty fun (no defense!) and Jesper Bratt is certainly someone to watch out for.

I will sadly be missing most of this game.

Absolutely unacceptable statement.

Snap out of it.

Just do what I did, move to this side of the pond. ;)

Haha I would love to! Maybe some day... for now I'll have to stick to visiting every couple of years to take in a game and having the worst sleeping patterns

Maybe I can nap from 10pm til midnight and set an alarm for the start of the game

Ok I made it this far, but if anyone has a link to watch on the likes of YouTube I would be very grateful ;D
