Lines at practice:

Michalek-Kadri-Grabner
Hyman-Nylander-Parenteau
Greening-Gauthier-Leivo
Laich-Smith-Brown

So no Leo actually, but Laich is back. Bozak, Boyes, Sosh all out too.

Also, poor Kadri. At least give him Brown to play with!

I like the Parenteau-Nylander-Hyman line, good mix of experience, skill and youthful exuberance.

Every line now sporting a veteran presence (or two for Kadri).

I'd prefer to see:
Greening - Kadri - Leivo
Hyman - Nylander - Parenteau
Michalek - Gauthier - Grabner
Laich - Smith - Brown

so that each line has a puck-getter, a distributor, a finisher, and a veteran presence.

I really like the kids. I finally see promise for this team down the road. I just hope upon hope that we find a way to draft Matthews this summer. If that means losing every single game to close out the season, then so be it, regardless of how much fun it is seeing these kids can confidence by beating better teams.  In that vein, I'm hoping for a loss tonight and every night until next season begins.

I hope the kids don't upset the tank too badly. Last thing we need is them pulling this 18-wheeler back onto the road. BTW, is that Nylander in the Superman costume??

They have turned the Lottery into a complete crap shoot, finishing last doesnt guarantee squat.

It didn't before, though.  They just ratcheted up the crappiness in the shoot.

It does guarantee you pick no lower than fourth though...is the consensus still Tkachuk at 4th?

Yes: http://platinumseatghosts.blogspot.ca/2016/03/2016-average-nhl-draft-rankings-march.html

There will be plenty of time to argue this, but Chychrun is someone I'd look hard at.  We need D.

I would pick Tkachuk over Nylander though. If no Matthews I would prefer Laine

That would be a mistake.

Although Tkachuk has been very good, quite a few friends who take in Knights games regularly have mentioned that although good in the corners it's he who benefits more from being with the other two on his line.

Dvorak and Marner are a different calibre apparently.

I'd keep Nylander over all of them.

While that's true, I get the impression there isn't as big as a talent gap between Chychrun and the D that are likely to be available with the Pens' pick than there is with the forwards. The Leafs probably walk away with the better overall influx of talent if they grab a forward with their pick and a D with the Pens' than they would the other way around.

Yeah, I think you're bang on there.
