Game Notes

BOS
?Rask (27-13-5, 2.48 GAA, .912 Sv%) will likely start for the Bruins
?Two changes are expected for Boston: John Moore will likely play in his first game of the series after missing the first 3 with an upper body injury
?Change number 2 is Marcus Johansson drawing back in after missing the past 2 games with an illness. It looks like Backes gets bumped out of the line-up as a result

TOR
?Andersen (36-16-7, 2.77 GAA, .917 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?Unsurprisingly no changes to the Leafs line-up at practice on Tuesday

Injuries

?Marcus Johansson - Flu - Probable Wednesday
?John Moore - Upper Body - Probable Wednesday
?Connor Clifton - Undisclosed - Day to day
?Kevan Miller - Lower Body - Day to day
?Sean Kuraly - Hand - Day to day

If Toronto holds serve at home and goes up 3-1, even if we blow the next three games our humiliation will be maybe be, at most, 75% of Tampa's.  So no matter what, our post-season will have been better than somebody else's.

That's the kind of thinking that produces championships.

The Leafs have already won more games this post season than Tampa, Pittsburgh and Boston combined..😬

Yes, but the Islanders have lost 1 fewer game than we have.  And Columbus has lost 2 fewer, if you factor in the difficulty of the opposition.

Go Leafs Go. Nylander needs to be good! Maybe it more of a Game 5 thing, but Boston is going to try to get the Bergeron line out against the Nylander line. I also wonder if the Booins come out trying to kill everyone.

I think the longer this series goes, the better the Leafs' odds, as long as they stick to their game. The big names on Boston - Chara, Krecji, Backes, Rask.. even Bergeron.. are on the wrong side of 30. Leafs just need to keep wearing them down by outskating them, particularly if they want to chase toronto all over the ice prioritizing hits.

That said, I'd love to see Marleau and Moore switched on the lines. Patty's looking slow. Moore's a pint sized Hyman. Love his game.

Leafs were up 2-1 against Caps 2 years ago and couldn't close it out.  Let's get a win tonight to take a 3-1 stranglehold on this bad boy.

They couldn't hold in-game leads that year either if I remember correctly. This year they're 38-0-1 on that front.

Tonight?s game is huge.  Not just for the obvious difference of a series tied at 2-2 versus being up 3-1 but also because Columbus is already resting and waiting.

Playing another 4 hard games before moving on doesn?t sound good.

If the Leafs advance the more time off between series' the better, particularly since Gardiner and Dermott are still aching.

If we advance I thought we got NYI no?  Washington would get Columbus as the weaker seed if they beat Carolina.  We'd get Carolina if Carolina won.

edit.  Nevermind just saw the bracket system.  We would get Columbus.

I won't even care what happens in the next round if they win this series.

You say that now ;)

No one asked Zee. FYI, we haven't been to the second round in 15 years.

I don't know what to expect. I hope the top two lines hold up and we get meaningful contributions from 3 and 4. The short shift thing really seems to be working. Although our best is playing a lot, the shifts have been short and explosive.

Go Leafs Go!!!
