He's a decent comparison but I think 40pts in year 1 is a lot to hope for.

Especially considering he's only been a good but not great producer at the AHL level. While he may be able to emulate Gallagher somewhat in terms of playing style, I don't see him being on the same level in terms of talent.

And Gallagher did that at 21-22 in the NHL, while Kozun hasn't really produced much more than that at the AHL level yet.

But in saying that - I have no idea what kind of ice time, PP time, situations Kozun got into at the AHL level.

Lots of talk about Kozun, but really isn't all that we need from that slot is to keep up with Lupes and Kadri?  It's those two that need to power the second line.  If he can be someone to compliment those two guys by keeping up speed-wise and keeping a cycle game going, he's done his job, production will come.

Go Leafs!

Yeah but the last thing we need is a guy who's fast but flubs the puck because his skill level isn't up there. We've seen it a few times in Kadri's career so far that his linemates just aren't good enough to finish his passes.

I was just saying I hope that he plays like Gallagher. I would be happy with 30 pts to be honest. He was able to get 56 pts in 74 games in the AHL in 2012-13

No pressure, Kozun, but I really need you to be the next Martin St. Louis.

You got him in a pool or something?

I went crazy and took JVR, Bozak, Kadri, Lupul and Phaneuf. I'm obviously hoping the Leafs score a lot of goals if nothing else (preferably from the top 2 lines!!!).

nah, it's my own effing fault. Boss asked if I could work "Oct 8" about a month ago....never even occurred to me to check the dang Leaf schedule first. I have it on the iCal now, so this won't happen again (she says, hopefully)
