God Bless Hockeyfan1

Hope you and the rest had a great Easter.

To any Atheists........................You know you were dead before you were born, right? You're already living life after death right now, with no explanation as to how it happened.

Happy EASTER TO ALL!!!

No, pretending like life after death is impossible is the much better way to go. Go ATHEISTS?????

If you can't explain why you're conscious right now, how can you definitively say that you'll never be conscious again or that there isn't anything behind that consciousness? God or whatever it may be?

Where do you get the attitude to say that life dies when you were born out of death?

The first words an atheist will yell when he or she is in a near death situation are "God save me".  That is why the atheist philosophy is false and just an opportunity to deny the existence of a Loving and Caring God.

By sending His Son to die on the cross to carry all our sins, He is a loving God who cares about our well being now and after we die.

Computers can do remarkable things.  But all it really does is I/O.  That's it.  On or off.  A human brain is a zillion times more complex then a computer.  1 second of human brain activity takes 82,944 processors to simulate and even then it's probably not getting it right.  Will computers gain a consciousness in the future?  Will they evolve just like creatures have?  Will they evolve just like a pagan holiday celebrating a fertility god became Easter?  It's this type of influence by man, which has made it obvious that even if a religion started out as the truth, has been led to a place where what one is told can no longer be taken without a grain of salt.  With that reality, how could a higher deity be upset with someone who lived a good life despite their lack of belief?  Religions have lots of good things to learn from them.  Perhaps judge not least thee be judge would be most prudent?  Instead of using religion to cast stones at all others.  Whether they be atheists, Muslims, Jews, Christians, etc?  There's nothing wrong with having beliefs, but inserting yours above others is a slippery slope that usually has no place on a hockey forum.

I agree with your overall sentiments re: this discussion not being appropriate on a hockey forum.

But you said that after basically stating your opinion on religion, kinda contradictory.

Happy Easter to all those who celebrate, and hope your day was good.

But now that the holiday has passed, and the way this topic has started and is bound to go, no good is going to come of it.  Thread locked.
