HHOF 2015 Inductees

The Hockey Hall of Fame will announce this years group of inductees at 4pm today. Nicklas Lidstrom and Chris Pronger are 100% locks to get in. The other two spots are a little up in the air. Most figure that Fedorov will get one of them, with the other's being fought over by a few players. I've seen Lindros, Kariya, Housley, Recchi, Housley, Zubov all get mentioned here.

I think that it should be Lindros, but he might get spurned again.

of that list housley stands out to me.

hes twice as good as the other guys

It probably won't be Lindros again, which is a joke, but I'm not overly sold on any of the other guys on that list.

Recchi seems like he'll just be one of those weird anomalies that pop up from time to time in sports. Like, yeah, he's 12th all time in scoring but he was never really great.

He's in the Dave Andreychuk category for me. The numbers might suggest that he should be in there, but I just can't support it.

One of the things I've wondered about Andreychuk is whether or not the way he hung on at the end there has hurt his candidacy. If he'd retired five years earlier he'd have ended up with 1176 points(552 goals) in 1287 games. As is he retired with 1338 points in 1639 games which looks a lot uglier. I know that would have meant he'd have missed the Tampa Bay cup but I still think he'd look like a stronger candidate.

It hurts me to say this because I liked him so much as a Leaf but, yeah, he just misses the cut. I think he's significantly better than some guys who are in there but that's not a good standard to use.

Would like to see Lindros finally getting the call, but I'm not banking on the committee sharing the sentiment.

Unreal with the Lindros thing.

It's pretty flipping absurd at this point.  I know the HHOF is a bit of a joke in and of itself but come on.

Also, I still don't understand how Pronger can be an active roster player and still be HHOF eligible.  He's either retired or he isn't.  Pronger is ridiculously good and one of the best defensemen to play the game but I don't agree with the rules being bent...especially in a world where Pat Burns is on his death bed and the A-holes on the selection committee wouldn't put him in and waited until the next year when he had passed away.

If neely is in there is absolutely no argument against lindros being in.

And since fuhr is in, there is no argument against anyone being in the hof.
