Reasonable deal, considering the state of the market right now with the cap going up. He's been a solid 2nd pairing guy since coming over, and this is definitely second pairing type dollars.

Reasonable deal. The Leafs definitely have a ceiling on their competition window though with the number of aging contracts adding up in 3-4 years

Genuinely thought he'd get over $5mil. There had been a few 2nd pairing guys to get that amount lately. Combine that with some of the odd signings we saw this past offseason (Edmundson) and it's tough to not like this contract.
