Game Notes

TOR
?Andersen (20-9-1, 2.50 GAA, .923 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?Ozhiganov was a full particiant at the Leafs practice on Thursday so I'd expect he's recovered from whatever illness was keeping him out of the line-up

CBJ
?Bobrosvky (16-10-1, 2.68 GAA, .913 Sv%) will likely start for the Blue Jackets
?Columbus beat the Rangers 4-3 in OT on Thursday. Korpisalo started that game so the Leafs will get Bob on Friday
?Bobrovsky had a rough opening month to the season, but has been stellar since then. He's also 5-0-1 with a .962 Sv% in his last 6 games

Injuries

?Tyler Ennis - Ankle - Injured Reserve
?Zach Hyman - Ankle - Injured Reserve

Chris Johnson, down in Columbus, speculates that Sparks gets the start tonight. That would be good news for anyone who paid out big bucks to see the game tomorrow night in Toronto.

I think Sparks may not be the pro-typical back up, he probably needs to play with a lot more frequency to tune his machine. Which is going to be a problem for him here.  Freddie is having next to a Vezina season and is not going to give up the net sans injury.

I think you're right. Sparks took off as the Marlies starter last season.  Not sure if he's able to play the traditional backup role

Is Babcock really just deciding this is the game sparks should start of the back to back?  Embarrassing decision.

Why is sparks playing?  Is Andersen injured?

B2B, but with reversed roles. Maybe it's to see if Sparks does better on the road. Maybe it has something to do with the Islanders on Saturday at the SBA (Tavares vs Lou, Komarov, Martin).

Personally, seems like a bad decision.  Way over thinking this.

What's so embarrassing about it? Columbus played last night so shouldn't be as rested as the Leafs

Why Sparks has to take a more predominant role in the second half of the season, Freddie needs to be fresher for the playoffs than last year.

Nylander coughs up a simple 4-2 and then draws a penalty.  Makes up for it.

Nylander will score tonight.

Need home ice in the playoffs.
