Leafs broadcast schedule 2013-2014

So here's the schedule: http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=680640

17 games on Leafs TV
17 games on TSN
23 games on Sportsnet
25 games on CBC

I go to hfborads and everyone is complaining about the 17 games on LeafsTV. I have basic cable and pay an additional 3 bucks for LeafsTV per month. To get TSN, I need to upgrade my service which comes with a bunch of channels I'll never watch. That upgrade would end up costing me 42 bucks a month, but all I would want is TSN.

Say what you want about LeafsTV, at least I can buy it without subscribing to 40 other channels that I don't care about.

Guess I only get to see 25 Leafs games this season (no cable) -- like the good old days when I was a kid and they only showed a game a week!

Hmmm....I wonder why bell gave up the 3 extra games to rogers??  I think they are splitting the radio games 50/50.

Will they make up for it next year?

Pretty sure it's because the TSN games are all part of their national contract.

Too late Pok?mon and your "Gotta Catch 'Em All" tagline, Nutman already has 'em.

I get 'em all too, on tv. I really hate that they aren't on am640 anymore though. Damn signal for 590 and even worse, 1050 die at Steeles, I live way north of that and they don't come in here :-(

I remember when we were recording our record in Bracebridge, we didn't get the game on the radio because the signal was dead, so our bass player downloaded a program for his phone that allows him to stream radio stations via bandwidth.  So on the way back home, he plugged in his phone to his car stereo and BAM! Worked like a charm!

yeah, except that I need the game on the radio when I'm NOT home, so I'm away from my computer and any sort of Internet bandwidth?. effin' 590 and 1050?.

Didn't expect the number of leafstv games to increase with Bell/Rogers ownership. Wouldn't it be more profitable to put games on Sportsnet and TSN?

I thought LeafsTV might have been shut down.

Any good site to get a printout of the broadcast schedule for both tv and radio?

Also when do those pocket schedules come out and where?

Really?  I kind of figure they'll get people used to relying on it and then slowly jack up the price

Its been around nearly 12 years now, if that was the plan, I think they would have done it by now.

I'm just speculating, but the problem might be that TSN and Sportsnet still have contracts or what not to broadcast other NHL/MLB/NBA/UFC games/matches and so they can't handle all of the non-Saturday night games during the season. So LeafsTV just picked up the rest. Hopefully Bell/Rogers at least put some money into the station so it's not a complete embarrassment.

I imagine that's fairly debatable. I mean, if it were more profitable to the Leafs to sell those games to national broadcasters in the first place then Leafs TV would have never existed. Considering that I imagine the CBA makes it so an entity like the current MLSE ownership can't just take those games off of Leafs TV and broadcast them without compensating the club at a market rate you have to imagine that still holds true to one extent or another.

I don't get Leafs TV, TSN, Sportsnet, or CBC.  Watch it online, or not at all.  It's not like something exciting like a bench-clearing brawl is going to happen anyways.

Just added the schedule to my Google calendar so it's available on all my devices now. Love technology these days.
