This schedule is just bananas.

Does anyone else get 5 games in 8 days with 2 B2Bs?  If so, fine, suck it up buttercup.  If not, then the schedule is a real extra unfair burden on us.  Our chance of winning tonight is demonstrably lower for reasons discussed in yesterday's GDT.

As long as Marner is making lazy bonehead giveaways and stupid hand on puck sh8t they won't be beating Boston.  Matthews has to learn defensive body positioning, he is huge, he should be rubbing guys out..
In saying this..Go Leafs Go.

No time to check, but I think even if this were a quirk in the schedule for everybody, it's still crap in the sense that you literally just played an opponent who's was rested, is still rested while you play 3 in 4, or even vice versa. It just doesn't make sense.

This doesn't fully answer the question but just in terms of playing teams who are rested/playing a tired team the Leafs are a middle of the pack team:

I hope Babs puts Gravel in. Clearly he doesn't trust Marincin as he played 8:30 last night. Holl played 14. Time to try someone else before Dermott gets back.

Good idea, I heard he was coming along well before he was set back with stomach/intestine problems.  Seem to have it sorted now...seems like a very defensive D man which is exactly what the Leafs need.

So whats the plan if Hutch lays an egg tonight?  Hope he doesn't but we may need a new plan B.
I don't know but I think he gets this one and next to show his worth. If he fails then I think they don't have much choice but bring up KK. If they have to trade for one then we're going to probably lose a guy like Hyman because we don't have enough cap space if they grab a guy who makes over a mill. Don't know of any 700k goalies that would be an improvement. Is there anyone?

Anybody else watch the Leafs pre game on TSN? Def pulling for Petan and his family. Only a year ago his dad passed by suicide. Tough go for them.

So terrible. Having experienced a friend who went this way recently it's just so hard to understand. Wish him and his family all the best.

This could be uggo.

But I will go wild and predict that somehow, some way, we manage a point.  Just one, mind you.

Yes, I pull for Martin Marincin but as I believe Frank said, it's time to face the reality that he's just not very good.  At his best he's passable.  At his worst, he's last night.

Go Gravel!  Spread yourself over the Bruins offense.

Good start.

Niccy Petan with some sweetness.

And if Muzz had connected there, it would have moved the needles at the US Geological Survey HQ outside DC.
