?Corrado likely goes in for Marincin after that late-game giveaway
?Look for Kadri to take some PK minutes, Babcock said yesterday it was something that he wanted to start doing soon
?The Leafs have lost 5 games in a row

PHI
?Mason will likely start for the Flyers

Babcock on Kadri's role as a potential penalty killer:

?We think he?s going to be good on the penalty kill. We were going to do it for next season, but here we are today, and we needed to get him some reps there in practice. He?ll be back on the power play in the morning skate (Tuesday prior to the Leafs road game in Philadelphia).?

Babcock said Kadri?s introduction to this season?s penalty kill will be gradual. Kadri, 25, last had a regular role on the Leafs? power play [CtB note: think that should say penalty kill] in 2013, where he spent seven games on it under former coach Randy Carlyle.

Who is this young d-man, of whom it is said,
Fills Philly's opponents with trembling and dread?
To speak his name rightly?why should we care?
It's neither gostisbehere nor gostisbethere.

5, 6, and 7 are kind of surprising. Although i never was sold on the Winnipeg hyp

Calgary's really not a surprise, either. Their advanced stats were not very good last season, and won a significant number of games with late comebacks and other trends that just aren't maintainable. There seems to be one team that overcomes their poor possession every year, only to fall back down to the bottom of the league the next. That was the Leafs, the Avs, and now, the Flames.

Bravo good sir.

Thank you for another wonderful GDT, CTB! I feel a strong night for the Tank is in the cards, especially looking at how the first lines stack up (5-1 Flyers).

I know the Flyers have a number of good young defencemen in their system, but where was Gostisbehere on that list coming into this year?

EDIT: Leafs struggling PP sporting different look today (from Jonas Siegel):

PP1: Phaneuf/Rielly/Parenteau/Bozak/Boyes
PP2: Rielly/Gardiner/Komarov/Holland/Lupul

I don't necessarily mind the D pairings, but the forwards on PP1... yikes!

That's a horrible soft penalty to Lupul too.

Someone needs to give Simmons a slap too

If the Jackets win and Leafs lose in regulation the Leafs go bottom. It's all coming together

Polak!

Offensive skills to go with surehanded defensive acumen? Seems like a useful piece to add at the deadline to me.
