Well, if you have to get into a stretch on the road I guess this is the team to do it against. Shame about the Tlusty-Liles injuries because I'd imagine it's not too often you see a team with 5 ex-Leafs on the team including three defensemen.

It always amazes me that Jay Harrison is an everyday NHLer. Never thought he'd be any more than a #7 guy or that he would still be in the league after 30 (Also: holy crap Jay Harrison is 32 years old). Putting up 20-ish points a season too lately which isn't bad for a defenceman like him.

I think it might be a sign of how bad Carolina is that I'm like 90% sure that most of what Carlton wrote in as their bottom 6 are just made up names so he wouldn't have to actually look them up. There's no way "Shugg" is real.

Carolina is one of those cities the Leafs have struggled in recently. They haven't won a game there since March 17, 2011. The also seem to struggle against the Canes in general - 3-6-1 against them since the start of the 11/12 season.

;D ;D Shugg is real... he's a good Niagara Falls boy...

Anything on Polak for this evening

I've heard that he's thinking of going with a nice baked chicken for dinner with some pasta and maybe a mineral water. Something substantial but too fatty.

I doubt if anyone remembers this but a few years back we were chasing a playoff spot and playing well and went down to Carolina for a game in late Feb and Weekes, their b/u at the time, shut us out.  I think that was one of those years we missed the playoffs by a point or two.

That's what this game smells like, y'all.

Speaking of cuisine, had any latkes yet this Hanukkah season?  I want some.

I don't want to say you're remembering wrong, but Weekes was only a Hurricane from 2001-02 to 2003-04 and his last shutout in the NHL was in 2003-04.
