Actually kind of looking forward to seeing how the new fangled Islanders play.

Shame Grabovski is out, though.

It mean he won't score a bunch of goals against us. I have a awful feeling about this game.

Facing the Islanders, a rested Ottawa in a back-to-back, and Boston in the next 3 games, I think I'm going to have to be thrilled with as much as 3 points in those 3 games.  Not expecting it, though.

Just read about them in the Globe. Looks like a good bunch of talented young kids whom are hungry to win.  And the addition of Leddy and Boychuk right before the season started was an excellent move making me wonder why the Leafs can't pull off those kind of deals.
Also the additon of good goaltending with Halak doesnt hurt either.
I have a feeling we are going to get pasted.

I've been looking forward to seeing the Islanders play, especially with 67% of the old MGK line in action. Shame about Grabbo.

I have a bad feeling about this game, too.

The teams that traded Leddy/Boychuk did so because they need cap space.  The Islanders didn't send any cap dollars back in those deals.  The Leafs couldn't have done that because we were already against the cap.

This could be a really ugly week for the team.

Can somebody find and dispose of the provocative pictures Franson has of one or more members of the Leafs coaching staff? I don't know if I can watch another game with him on the top pairing. He is a perpetual anti-Lasik surgery ad.

But could be a step towards the end of Randy?

It's too early. They need to wait until the 50-60 game mark so they can bring in an interim guy before hiring Babcock in the off season. They fire Randy at the 15-20 game mark and it's tougher to sell an interim guy.

The interim guy will be Horachek aided by Spott.  I can almost hear the bagpipes playing some Scottish lament which translates into By Randy see you in Sudbury.

It certainly could be, yes. They're not likely to let him go before December or so, but, he could absolutely have his fate basically sealed before then.
