Game Notes

TOR
?Andersen (9-5-0, 2.10 GAA, .933 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?Ozhiganov was back on the bottom defence pairing with Dermott at practice yesterday
?Kapanen was on the 2nd PP unit at practice yesterday, positioned on the right flank with Leivo moving to the net front spot

LA
?Budaj (0-0-0, 2.00 GAA, .909 Sv%) will likely start for the Kings
?LA has lost both their starting goalie (Quick) and back-up (Jack Campbell) to torn meniscuses in the last couple of weeks, so Peter Budaj will get his turn in net
?The Kings find themselves in last place in the entire league right now. They're averaging the least amount of goals for per game (2.06), and they're 1-2 under new head coach Willie Desjardins

Injuries

?Auston Matthews - Shoulder - Injured Reserve
Code:

?Jonathan Quick - Knee - Injured Reserve
?Jack Campbell - Knee - Injured Reserve
?Jonny Brodzinski - Shoulder - Injured Reserve

Desjardins opined recently that he'd like his team to start stretching the defense vertically more (i.e. stretch paaaasssssss).

Moore was actually born in California (Thousand Oaks specifically, which of course has been in the news recently because of a mass shooting and because of it's proximity to the wildfires in Southern California). Would be pretty cool if he was able to make his NHL debut at some point on this trip.

Perhaps against the Ducks on Friday night (which if we win, will result in very delicious headlines).

Makes the most sense. LA and Anaheim are the closest in proximity to where he grew up, and I doubt he's getting in the game tonight. The Ducks are also the 2nd game in the back-to-back and Babs has shown a willingness to swap players for those (usually a D).

I'm not sure who he'd take out of the forwards at this point (barring injury). Leivo's been snake-bitten and has difficulty fielding offensive-zone passes lately, but he's been a good forecheck all season; Ennis has played well too. Johnsson is ramping up and finding his fit with Lindholm.

Moore - Lindholm - Brown would be a nice 4th line to close out the season.

My guess would be Ennis.

Probably Johnsson because he scored the other night.

This is going to be challenging for me as a Dedicated Fan, since I seem to be falling asleep.
