Maple Leafs Weekly Power Rankings.

I think this is a pretty fun little segment over at TLN.

After picking up four points in ten games in October, we can now classify the Leafs as red hot now that they've picked up four in the first four games in November. November seems to be the month of choice for underperforming Leafs teams, as last season it was November that gave many of the fear that Carlyle would be the head coach forever. Like last year we can probably rest easy that tank will be rolling again soon enough, but for now it's nice to watch some competitive Leafs hockey while we can.

1. JAMES REIMER (LAST RANKING: 15)

When we last checked in on James he was a .876 Sv% goaltender who had picked up one win while being cemented into a backup role. This week Mr. Reimer had four starts, picked up a 1-1-2 record, had a .939 Sv% while giving up fewer than two goals a game.

I guess when Bernier returns, so does the goaltending controversy.

2. MORGAN RIELLY (LAST RANKING: 3)

This was the season that Rielly was going to make a splash. His 3 point game against the red hot Stars is a great reminder that he is well on his way to being a world class defenseman. The five points Rielly had this week moved him into first on the Leafs in scoring.

3. JOFFREY LUPUL (LAST RANKING: 19)

Two goals and an assist against Dallas put Joffrey back on the Leafs radar for being more than a seat filler. Lupul is now tied with van Riemsdyk and Komarov for the team lead in goals with 5.

It ranks the entire roster all the way to 20, anyone disagree with the rankings of the players based on this last week?

Probably a little harsh on Spalling especially in my opinion.

Cool find. 20 is too many for me to wrap my brain around (seeing as how that's basically the whole team).

What I'd really like to see again is the Leafs Notebook (MLHS). Not sure where it went.

Spaling=McClemment

Holland has been really bad so he was benched, appropriately, he was bad last year, as well, but TO didn't even have a Spaling to replace him with, McClemment was better than anything Holland has shown us.

These guys really hate Polak who is TO's only physical player, he's better than Mark Fraser, more mobile and more involved generally, yet many loved Fraser?

Well, I shouldn't even bother here but Froese replaced Holland, fwiw, and while I was/am a fan of Jay, Holland scored 2 goals and 4 assists along with a shootout winner in his last 5 games, that's half a seasons production from Jay. Also, Holland played decently on the pk and some 5 on 5 while on a dreadful team last year.

What on earth are you going on about? In the year they both played, Holland had same number of points in half as many games.
