17 seasons of NHL hockey.  1134GP 391G 642A 1033P

One of the best undrafted players of all-time.  Not quite a hall-of-famer but a heck of a career.

2 Art Ross trophies, a Hart and a Pearson (plus a bunch of Lady Byng's) would make him more worthy than guys we've talked about here being on the edge like Recchi and Andreychuk.

Yeah, I think he goes in. I think the only standard by which he comes up short(ha-ha) is comparing his scoring totals against the inflated scoring totals of guys from the 80's/early 90's.

Since 2002 he has the 2nd most amount of points in the league, and the 7th highest points-per-game figure. The guys in front of him in PPG are Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin, Thornton, Datsyuk, and Kovalchuk.

On top of the individual trophies, first or second NHL all star five times (named 8 times).

Only thing he didn't win was a World Championship (2 silvers, made the All Star team). He won a Stanley Cup, World Cup & Olympic Gold.

He's also been an outstanding character and rep for the game which they also consider.

I think he'll get in.
