The Leafs Blueprint

I guess this is a new series on Leafs tv where Shanahan outlines the vision for the future of the franchise.

The 2015-16 season marks the beginning of a new era for the Toronto Maple Leafs. With new Management and a vision to build a championship team ? from the ground up ? ?The Leaf: Blueprint? follows the team on that journey.

The first episode is available here.

thanks Patrick for that, I no longer have Loaf TV as Rogers cut it off with my new package. Maybe I should go back with my baseball bat and get it for free.

It's not exactly revealing stuff, really more like a half-hour advertisement for the club.

Yeah, I was hoping for some more behind-the-scenes stuff. A little disappointing.

I really enjoyed the episodes, but episode 4 in particular, was excellent.

You get to spend a little more time with Andersen and Babcock gives a mission statement of sorts about what they want to be and who they want their players to be.

I'm on Season 2, Episode 2, covering the home opener and a bit. First season was really about Babs setting the tone with being competitive every night, even with management moving out the assets.

I think we'll look back and see the turning point for this franchise was the draft pick infusion. Each time raising both the skill level of the club and the excitement surrounding it.

First infusion was at the deadline last year - Nylander, Hyman, Soshnikov. Second infusion was the home opener this year - Matthews, Marner, Brown, Zaitzev.

Like Babcock says, these guys are here to stay.

Here's Season 2 so far. 7 episodes from Home Opener to Centennial Classic.
