I blame parity, every team in the EAST is above .500 League wise, only 4 teams are below .500.

Only Colorado is away from the group with an insane .821 record (69 points in 42 games) but all other .500 team have a decent change of getting to wild card territory.

With that kind of parity, wondering how long it will take before a mini NBA like "play in round" will get to the NHL...

Honestly, I'd rather they sit out Nylander until he's actually healthy. Far too much of the last few months has been guys coming back and then being hurt or looking injured when they are in the game.

Let him settle and just be healthy. Matthews is motoring right now. Tavares could probably use a healthy Nylander right now but honestly, the top 9 right now is relatively fine. Jarnkrok is easily the spare part to take out of the lineup for Nylander but I'm not entirely convinced that Knies-Tavares-Nylander is a great trio.
