I’ll agree with you on that one. What a sh*t goal.

As for the team, take note of how many times they come up the ice and there’s players standing still. How do you transition to a dump and chase team when there’s no chase? Also, how do you dump and chase when only F1 chases?

I don't blame Berube, he's coaching the way he coaches. But it's not working. Square peg, round role.

They don't deliver entertainment much any more. Last game yes, but even that felt like it is was against the grain.

Couldn't agree more. It's beyond ridiculous at this point but it's an easy fix, according to 88..haha. Horrible system. Leafs best chances are off the rush, just like that 34 chance in the final minute. Never will agree with giving the puck away while in possession.

You need fastholes. We have neither fast players or complete assholes on the team. Our more physical guys in the bottom 6 aren't Florida Panthers levels of "I have to murder you every shift" but we also don't have the speed to overwhelm the defense on the forecheck. I don't understand the roster construction at all if this is the style we are trying to force. 80% of the dump ins are just immediate turnovers and we don't even punish their defense because the puck is heading up the ice before our forecheck even gets there.

Yup. There's a disconnect between Tre and Berube. We'll see if they can make it interesting but if last year is any indication, this is going to be a long regular season of non exciting hockey.
 
It wouldn't surprise me if we miss the playoffs and it has nothing to do with the start to the season. Team has gotten worse right from day 1 compared to last year and to be honest I don't think Tre can do much.
