It really worked out pretty serendipitously for the Panthers. It's not like Tkachuk has been the Conn Smythe winner the last two years (he might have been the Panthers best player for their 2023 run). Seems like he was just what the roster was missing.

That deal wouldn't make sense for the Leafs but makes sense for the Sharks. If they can prop Skinner up and have him at 20 goals by the trade deadline they could swap him for a decent return.

Put Cowan on a line with Tavares and Nylander. They saddled Holmberg with those two in the playoffs, surely Cowan can be an improvement.

And I doubt Carolina would have made the trade without an extension from Marner even if he agreed to go there.

Ok, fellas. Any chance the Leafs could pry Shane Wright out of Seattle? Something along the lines of Wright for Robertson, Danford and 2027 2nd round pick? I doubt they'd be keen to move Wright but there has been some friction there in the past. Thoughts?
