    2025 Blue Jays

An assist to Altuve on both: he didn't expect the throw to third and wasn't hustling, and he took his time on the throw to first, where Vlad ran it out. Vlad should buy him dinner or something.

I think it was a missed opportunity. I think they could have presented a case that would have passed the NHL's loose smell test.

You sure can put someone on LTIR when it's known they could play before game 1 of the playoffs and never be held responsible. It's a fact.

Give him a break, time to heal, and add +$10M to the roster would have been my preference. Yes, we may not have faced OTT in the first round but $10M more in roster like a Jones and a Marchand would have helped.

Matthews should have been on LTIR, probably both legitimately and strategically, last season. Tkachuck (Jones and Marchand)... Kucherov... Stone... stupid math is gone.

Yes, you can compare those lines to FLD's.

2025-26 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

I agree, it takes a team to win. Everyone can now be better allocated into roles and contribute in a more meaningful way. I still cannot believe that over the entire time of the core 4, they were never spread over 3 lines? We will never know. Depth scoring discussions drove me insane when the...

I am optimistic about line depth, team toughness, goaltending, reliable D, and everyone having a meaningful role. Having salaries disbursed across all lines will help players feel more valued and important. JT's salary sacrifice should also help solidify the roster as a true team. Role the lines...

    2025 Blue Jays

Kind of feels like the Canadian way to play and win as a team, not just a few individuals carrying the load. I appreciate the small ball, which makes it so much more watchable. Every player has been asked to contribute in their own way.

Kyle Clifford's retirement... is this actually a thing? Sorry for being the grumpy guy. Wasn't he Dubas's first client as an agent? He hardly played for the Leafs, but I suppose he was a serviceable vet for the Marlies.

Sometimes it's a legit hockey play to tag up, but I get it. The possession for the sake of possession can be a tough watch.

2025-26 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

Who cares, he'll play sporadically. Crazy how the opening day roster is projected to have zero players on entry-level contracts. It's a fairly deep team with two of the following having to sit: McMann, Jarnkrok, Lorentz, Laughton, Kampf, and Robertson. I don't see a fit for Cowan yet. So...

I think there's zero loyalty either way, so they should part ways. If he has a decent year, he'll probably walk unless the Leafs overpay him.
