2012 Toronto Blue Jays Thread

With a 5-3 lead, Cordero comes in gunning for his 2nd Frank Francisco save of the season. After he gives up the customary bomb to the deepest part of the park, Lawrie can't make a routine play and the Jays pay far too much attention to fake Ichiro allowing him to get to 3rd when Arencibia airmails a snap throw into right field.

Mercifully, the Mariners 3rd base coach isn't smart and the Jays barely escape the inning with a tie.

Wow.

Edit: At least they are coming up with new and creative ways to lose ball games. That was quite the finish.

So in essence what looks on the surface like another blown save by a shaky Jays bullpen is in reality a blown save by a couple errors. Follow that up with a grand slam in the top of the 10th and you have what is likely going to be another embarrassing loss.

jays won 7-0 today yay hopefully there back n track now with 1 more game against seattle then 3 against texas at home starting monday night and yu darvish is pitching for texas on monday

Good outing by Alvarez. Should be an interesting finish with Cordero. Hopefully they can tack on another run or two in the bottom of the 8th.

Drabek put in six solid innings, but back to back homers leading off the 7th off Crawford have the Rangers up 4-1. Darvish has struck out 9 through 7, and just got out of a two-on, one out jam by getting Rasmus and easy-out Arencibia.

Hopefully the Jays can get something going in the last two innings.

Edit: Nathan in for the 9th - he's the guy the Jays want in there, as he has one third of the Rangers losses already this season! ;D

Edit 2: Guess not. :)

Anyone know Bautista's stats since that whole 'man in white' rumour came out?

They accused him in 2010 and I think the article came out before he started slumping.

I think a bigger place to look is how his numbers dropped post home run derby.  He hasn't been the same since the second half of last year.

I totally wasn't serious, but was still curious to look at the numbers for fun, as I thought the accusations came out in August 2011.
