Yeah. I mean, Vancouver's going to get a very good prospect, but the Devils got a legit starting goalie to take over for Brodeur - and one that will probably fit in really well.

Keep it coming mateys.
Nik the Trik said:So, I guess that means Schneider will be backing up Brodeur next year? Or is Brodeur gone?

Maybe a platoon type situation. Brodeur's in the final year of his contract and almost certainly retires at the end of the year.

Watching Top Gear is way better than watching the draft.
Jolly good show chaps said:Vancouver trying to save face by doing anything to avoid having to buy out Luongo or give him away for nothing?
Bit of a bonkers move since Luongo seems pretty disillusioned with the Canucks.

Speculation on air is that Vancouver ownership wouldn't pony up the cash for a Luongo buyout which, ultimately, is pretty understandable.
Jolly good show chaps said:Surely they could have got a very late pick for Luongo though? Or I guess maybe not since they had to ship Schneider out instead.

If nothing else, Gillis keeps things entertaining for those of us who are very much not Canucks fans.
