agreed. Goodell is horrible. Hockey fans blast Betman but he is head and shoulders a better commissioner I feel

Before David Stern retired I remember someone I knew half-jokingly saying that Gary Bettman was the best commissioner in all of sports and, well...

I've heard people say that not-half jokingly. I don't know enough about the other leagues but it wouldn't completely surprise me if that was true.

Well, Baseball and Basketball's Commissioners are so new it would be tough to really measure Bettman against their blank slates. All it's really saying now is that he's better than Roger Goodell and at this point I think I'd be just as comfortable saying that about the broken old Toaster I left out with the garbage the other day.

Right, sorry, people were saying that when Selig and Stern were still their leagues commissioners.

Oh right. Yeah, no, like I said someone said it back then to me and there was some truth to it. It was just the sort of truth like  how Herpes might be argued to be the "best" sexually transmitted disease you could catch.

Gotta admit, this was fun and laugh out loud to watch

I mean this is a surprise to nobody but Roger Goodell sure does suck:

strange Commissioner that Goodell is.

What a way to finish!  Terrific Tom Brady set and surpassed several NFL Super Bowl records yesterday, in leading his New England Patriots to a fourth-quarter comeback, enroute to a 28-24 championship victory over the defending Super Bowl champions Seattle Seahawks.

With the score tied 14-14 at halftime, and Seattle going ahead 24-14 in the third quarter, it was Brady's turn to shine as he finally took reins to lead the Patriots in their historic comeback.

Of course, Seattle had the best opportunity of all to forge a victory of their own with the game ticking away with seconds on the clock, and at the New England goallline.  Seahawks' quarterback Russell Wilson's pass to a waiting Richard Lockette was cleverly intercepted by the Patriots Malcolm Butler, and the game was essentially over!

Wow, what a dramatic play by a guy (Butler) who one can call a rookie, making the big catch to preserve his team's victory in the most important game of his career.

Many people condemned what they saw as poor decision-making on the part of Seattle's coach Bill Carroll and offensive coordinator Darren Bevell, in opting to go for the passout rather than having had Wilson hand the ball to running back Marshawn Lynch.  Carroll stood by his decision even though it turned out to be a risky one as many could see in the ensuing aftermath.

Now, back to Brady.  He surpassed Joe Montana's Suoer Bowl game record of 11 touchdowns with his own of 13.  He tied Montana in Suoer Bowl wins with 4, and set a completions and throwing record  (37/50, 328 yds.), and picked apart Seattle's defence that comeback fourth quarter.

Tom Brady Super Bowl XLIX MVP.

I'm pretty sure everyone can call him a rookie.

So beating a woman = 2 games but deflating footballs = 4 games?

Both jokes, as is the entire NFL system of punishment!
There is no consistency between suspensions for similar infractions. Donte Stallworth kills someone and gets a full season, Josh Brent kills someone and gets 10 games.
Vick gets 2 years for dog fighting charges. So is the NFL saying that dogs lives are worth more than human lives?

Then there are infractions outside the NFL that the league views worse than cheating in the NFL. How does Terrelle Pryor get 5 games for receiving improper benefits in college and Tom Brady gets 4 games for cheating in the actual NFL?
