Lets start with a couple notable Jays firsts:
First time the Jays have ever won a playoff game while facing elimination.
Tulo is the first Jays shortstop to ever hit a playoff homerun.
I thought the Jays hitters were much more disciplined at the plate tonight compared to the first couple games. It helps that the home plate umpire was good for a change. The umpiring crew missed the balk, but other than that I thought it was a well called game.
Estrada pitched fantastic! He had all his pitches working and kept the Rangers hitters off-balance. You could really see guys like Fielder struggling to figure out what pitch was coming next.
Harold Reynolds is terrible! I could never stand the guy, but tonight he just took it to the next level. The guy doesn't have a clue about anything, but loves to hear himself talk. I groaned hearing his voice for Game 1, was happy that he didn't call Game 2 (believe it was Bob Costas) , but back to him for Game 3 tonight!
We stupid Canadians can't catch foul balls in the stands at games because we didn't grow up playing baseball apparently. Too busy spearing whales and building igloos I suppose. :
At least Jamie Campbell fired back at him...
Larry Walker was great too:
"I won 7 gold gloves. I think part of winning them was cause I could catch."
If anyone has that picture of Harold Reynolds beside the dog driving the car please post it...says it all!
