We're going to rightfully fire the people responsible for our teams demise. We're also... going to promote people responsible for our teams demise.

I'm a bit disappointed you didn't go with this reaction shot:

I've been trying to do the Bracket Challenge basically since it opened, but it's always been down every time I tried. Finally got the page to load today and now it won't get past the login screen. How does the NHL exist?

edit: Filled out the bracket, hit submit, said there was an error. Went back and tried to re-submit, nothing happened. With no other options, I closed the window and tried to reload the page to see if my bracket saved. Page won't load.

edit2: ok, page loaded and I found that my bracket definitely didn't save. Hit "create a new bracket" and it loaded a 500 Internal Server Error page.

It's getting the kiss of death recently.

I used my VPN and loaded it from a UK server and it worked first time this afternoon.

I couldn't get the bracket done.  Not with my smartphone, nor tablet.  Used my Mac, everything was going well, then... poof!  Page never loaded, etc.  In the end, no bracket.  :(

Sounds like there's trouble brewing in Buffalo:

Buffalo Sabres general manager Tim Murray is meeting with ownership this week in what is a critical moment for the organization.

Terry Pegula purchased the team in Feb. 2011. They?ve failed to make the playoffs in every season since then. They?re on their fourth coach, Dan Bylsma, who like Murray has three years left on his contract. Bylsma?s is for $3 million per season.

The coach?s future with the Sabres was already in question given their middling results since he took over in 2015. But Paul Hamilton of WGR-AM 550 in Buffalo dropped a bomb at the end of his report on Wednesday, regarding the Sabres? franchise player:

Inside sources have told me that Eichel has no desire to sign a contract extension this summer if Bylsma remains the coach, so quite a bit hinges on this meeting.

?No desire? is a rather strong way of putting it. Eichel is a restricted free agent in Summer 2018.

Who thinks Thornton and Marleau sign somewhere for a 1 year, 1 M contract to try to win the cup?  I'm thinking Pittsburgh...

Maybe they'll sign here after the Leafs win the Cup this year?

Former Leaf Travis Green is reported to be stepping into a giant flaming poop emoji the Vancouver Canucks' head coaching position. He has been the Utica Comets' coach for the longest time.

Can you tell I'm having a light work day?

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/blackhawks-coach-joel-quenneville-upset-assistants-firing-report-221533261.html

Chicago Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman vowed that changes were coming after their embarrassing first-round sweep at the hands of the Nashville Predators.

Those changes started on Monday at the bench, where assistant coach Mike Kitchen was fired after seven years. He was there for the Stanley Cup wins in 2013 and 2015. But the two areas of the team for which he was most responsible ? the penalty kill and the defensemen ? were two of the most problematic areas for the Blackhawks this season.

[...]

Chris Hine of the Chicago Tribune had a good catch regarding the Kitchen firing by the Blackhawks: Quenneville wasn?t quoted in the team?s press release.

We have room, and a coach who will play you with up and coming superstars. Trade you JvR+prospect to alleviate your cap issues without a severe drop off in scoring, Yzerman.

Poor, poor Kucherov.  8)

Not sure who Kucherov is referring to with the "got paid" comments...Stamkos and Hedman got new pretty cheap deals, but he can't be referring to those 2 in terms of performance.  Maybe Killorn?
