There was a lot of laughing at Ottawa's roster over the summer, and at the quarter mark they've got the same ROW as the Leafs, and with 2 games in hand.

Lucic got 2 games for a sucker punch. Doubt we'll see anything here. Uncalled for but I see his frustration. At least he owned up to it and said it doesn't belong in the game and he reacted badly..Hobbes said:Last night's Hathaway incident definitely has no place in the sport, and I hope he's fined for it, but at the same time I hope the league (or head of officiating) takes a look at the tape too. Hathaway being restrained by a linesman while subjected to multiple sucker punches, unable to defend himself or only to a limited degree before the spitting incident, I can at least understand some element of his frustration. I've noticed a number of times over the last year or two (or maybe it's even more) where linesmen step in to stop a fight and don't do so safely or evenly, resulting in one of the players being vulnerable to the attack of the other. Someone is going to get hurt, badly, if they keep doing this. I'm not a big fan of fighting in the modern game, but if the players are going to do it then at least make sure the linesmen aren't tipping the scales.

Marchand licked a couple of players and got no suspensions.
Could be an interesting scenario because of the Cap implications.Nik Bethune said:Apparently the NHLPA has filed a grievance against the Jets for Byfuglien's suspension.

I didn't put this in the Sens thread because to me that's a place for well deserved LOLSens stuff and this isn't a laughing matter. Ryan's had a truly bizarre life and that he's managed to make a successful NHL career of it is pretty commendable. I hope he can deal with whatever his issues are.
