Trading out of Travis Konecny for Travis Dermott before Sebastian Aho (and Jeremy Bracco turning into nothing) is somewhat painful.

Dermott could turn out to be a very good pick. Kid has the tools. Everyone missed on Aho.

Dermott is I think much closer to what he'll end up being than the beginning of his curve. Not to say he can't contribute, but he's ideally a 5 on a good defence.

And that's ok if he can do it on the right side for us!!!

So last year, coming off of a 56 point season, Kevin Labanc signs a one year, $1 million deal.

This year, coming off of a 33 point season (and a -33 to boot), Kevin Labanc signs a 4 year contract worth $18.9 million.

That seems weird to me.

Did he do them a favour last year by taking 1 mill? Maybe there was a promise made to him? Sure looks weird.

Sure the Coyotes drafted someone who was convicted of racially bullying a kid with learning disabilities but remember when the league had a moment of reflection after George Floyd?
