This is such a minor thing but I wonder why the sens didn't bring him back, even if it was just for their AHL team.

Season opener lineup? I always love the season opener lineup. No critical goalie/defensemen/center injuries yet.

Hyman - Marner
Kerfoot - Simmons?
Mikheyev - Thornton?
Thornton seems like he must be too slow to PK....though he does have that reach.
herman said:Barabanov PKs as well. Engvall and Anderson too if they are still in the lineup. I would not use Simmonds or Thornton in PK. Robertson is capable but probably not the ideal way to deploy a shooting threat rookie.

This looks dead-on to me.
EDIT: And probably the most talented Leafs lineup in recent memory. At least on paper. Can you imagine if Joe and Spez were both in their prime right now? I shutter to think of how good this team would be.
Joe S. said:Good thing we have Matthews and Tavares in their prime. This is a luxury Sundin never had. The closest those teams ever had to a legit #2 was 1 year of neiuwendyk.
Im excited about this added depth.
