2023 Blue Jays thread

Jays starting to look like they are finding their feet. Lots of hitting, great pitching from Gausman and good D. Looks like Varsho will  be the fan favourite. Starting to forget about Guriell and Teoscar already.  No more clown show, lets win this thing.
 
Nobody really thinks or talks about the Rays then they roll out of the gate with a 9-0 start

Meanwhile, after 6 home games, they sit 26th in the league in home attendance.

Talk of them moving to Montreal (at least for half of a season).
 
Detroit is looking pretty weak early in the season, but it's good to see that come from behind win by the Jays last night.
 
Jays with 4 of their last 5.  Berrios with a great game last night.

Man, the AL East is tough though.

This feels like an understatement. Every team in the division is above .500. Every other division has at least 2 teams below .500. And, with fewer divisional games this season, that's not going to change in a hurry.
 
Could see 3 or 4 of the AL East teams in the post season.

Baltimore I think will fall away and not quite make it. Would be amused if the Yankees fell away, though.

I've caught quite a few games this season so far and I'm really liking the way the Jays are playing pretty much in all areas so far.
 
Nice to see the Jansen walk-off in the 10th last night...would have been a waste of great pitching to not win that one.
 
Jansen has become Mr. Clutch lately, now we need the other guys to start swing the bat like him.  Overall I would say the Jays have been OK but not anywhere near their potential as yet.  We need an extended winning streak. And to beat the Yanks and Rays would be very helpful but to be swept by Boston was a big disappointment. Up and down too much.
