Better pro scouting turns this around much quicker than solely drafting hopeful prospects. The Leafs should definitely still do that, but getting the next Gustav Forsling or Darren Raddysh at the ground floor is how good teams stay viable as their drafted cores mature. Big weakness of both Burke/Nonis, Lamoriello, Dubas, and now Treliving eras.
