2025-26 NHL Thread

So Roslovic signed with Edmonton... Part of me wondered if we could use him but from all accounts he's basically a taller Domi?
 
I’m planning to try and pay a bit more attention to the whole league this season. It’s been easy enough so far with only 4 or so games in an evening.

I’ve mostly been watching the Sportsnet highlights packages, but they tend to be about 11-12 minutes. That’s ok on a day there’s 3 or 4 games.

Is there anywhere that does like 3-4 minute highlight packages of each game or even one program with all the goals? Preferably on the likes of YouTube for easy access. There’s 14 games tonight. As much as I want to, I’m not sure I can justify 2.5 hours of highlights tomorrow 😃

The Hockey Guy (https://www.youtube.com/@TheHockeyGuy) will verbally recap every game played. No video analysis or highlight packs. You'd have to hit up the official NHL channel (https://www.youtube.com/@NHL) for those 5-12 min clip jobs. Each team channel might run their own set of clips. Sportsnet has one too. I've never investigated if they're just re-posts.

I tried the NHL website highlights. They’re about 8 minutes long on average instead of 11 or so for Sportsnet. I stuck one on every now and again as a break from work but it was about 3pm before I got them all watched 😂

I checked a few clubs own YouTube’s and a lot don’t even have any highlights. Maybe they’ve to let NHL/Broadcasters have first dibs or something.

You’d think there’d be a market for an NHL On the Fly type YouTube show, just get all the goals into an hour or something. Maybe there is but they want to monetise it by having it on their paid channel or something.
