Bernier...Carlyle said he was " a little sore" before the game, and of course had to come out...lets hope the fact he felt it before hand means its not as serious as something happening in game!!! Any idea as to what it is anyone?

Saw the highlites and saw a nice split save that Bernier made in the first, wondering if he "tweaked" something on that play.  Hope it's not a groin, look how long Price has been out.

He looked strong even after that save, though.  And he finished the period.  I doubt he'll be out long.

Most likely it was a precaution.  He already took the risk of playing "a little sore" because he was against his old team.  When he felt it might get worse it was the right call to pull himself essentially.  I'd rather have Reimer put up a stinker (which he didn't) the rest of the game than lose Bernier for a long period of time.

How long it takes until plays again depends on how he responds to treatment for the soreness.  After this Sunday, we have two back-to-back's (Tue-Wed, Sat-Sun).  My bet is even if he might be ready to go already this Sunday, they still play Reimer to make sure he's fine to at least split the back-to-back's.

I assume you mean Cro-Magnon. If you're going to make that joke, at least get it right. Pro-magnum would mean "in favour of greatness," which, you know would be a nice thing to have in your ancestral tree.

Maple Leafs defenceman Paul Ranger was assessed and discharged from hospital in Toronto Wednesday evening.

No update on his playing status yet, but that's great to hear.

@HennyTweets

Great news that Paul ranger is declared fit and good to go. #TMLtalk

Given how long he spent on the ice, and the glazed look in his eyes while he was on the ice, I'm shocked.

Yeah I saw that, but not really sure what to make of it. Everybody else is just spouting the Leafs press release, so I'm not sure if Hendrick is too but just putting it in different (and maybe not 100% accurate) words. I'd be stunned if he was playing this week.

edit: Somebody asked him to clarify and Hendrick said that Ranger is good to play. Stunned I am.

For a guy whose sole job is the Leafs, Hendricks has a pretty poor track record in terms of accuracy. He routinely says players will be scratches only to see them end up in the lineup. I wouldn't put much stock in what he's saying. He has a tendency to jump to conclusions.

No supp disc for Killorn according to tsn.ca.

I'm good with that.  Ranger turned back into the hit.  I think players have a responsibility to not throw that hit as guys are going to protect the puck on that play 100% of the time but enough is enough.  Have some respect for your fellow players.
