hard to believe Yakupov has been such a washout. He has all the physical skills so the problem must be between his lug holes.

Anyone remember the game, think it was in the 90's when the Leafs were up 5-0 in the 3rd and the Blues beat us 6-5 by the whistle (brutal). Last game I saw at the Gardens in 81 was a shellacking of the Leafs by the Blues.
They always seem to have the upper hand on us.
Why?

How the hell was Al MacInnis involved in two of these comebacks?  The Leafs also blew a 5-0 third period lead to Calgary earlier.

Outside of their first pairing where it is more balanced, St. Louis is stacked on the right side defense. I'll be watching for the Leafs to leverage their shiftier RW players to lead the incursions where possible.

Steen - Statsny - Tarasenko might be a bit of a handful, so I'm thinking Babcock might hardmatch Komarov - Kadri - Brown and Rielly - Zaitsev to that line, giving Matthews and Nylander a bit more play.

Funny thing is I remember the Calgary game in 1987 but conveniently forgot about the St. Louis one (I may have missed that game)

I always remember the 5-0 game.  I don't think they scored their first goal until about 15 minutes left in the third.  I'd have to look it up to be sure.  I've always hoped I'd live long enough to see the leafs do that to a team.  Didn't we beat them one year in the playoffs when they had cujo before we did?  St Louis is a rivalry I miss from way back when playing in the west.

Yes, that was the magical 1993 run when the Leafs should have gone to the Stanley Cup Final against the Habs.  That is if Kerry Fraser wasn't paid off by the NHL to ensure that LA got through for those U.S. tv ratings.

Yes, and Wendel hit Cujo in the face with the slap shot heard round the world (payback).
