Blues @ Leafs - Mar. 25th, 7:00pm - SN, TSN 1050

The Leafs are being beaten by a much superior team, talent-wise, now.

What it is mystifying is why does Carlyle send the same power-play unit out virtually every time?

Reilly and Gardiner move the puck so well, they were responsible for creating the only Leaf goal tonight, they skate so well, yet stubbornly Carlyle insists in putting out Cody and Dion.  What is the rationale?  Why does he insist on using these guys all the time, with such sad results the past 1 1/2 months or so on the power play?    Does he have a death wish not to coach in Toronto next year?  (So many questions).

Seeing the replays on the goals Bernier does not look right at all he's staying up and not spreading his legs when he's down. Why is he playing, this game was a long shot anyways save him to try and get some points (remember those?) against lesser teams coming up.

Between Dion, Clarkson, Randy and the rest of this soulless squad, the Leafs are a pretty dislikeable team right now.

How does Nonis not fire Randy on a 6 game regulation losing streak at this time of year?  I mean, at this stage you know you're going to do it after the season so why not get it done while there is still a prayer?

There isn't much of a prayer the way they're going, may as well let them hang themselves.

Are people more drunk than normal tonight or just feeling more owly than normal?

When I look around this messageboard tonight, one word comes to mind: Owly.

McClement third on the team, not just among forwards, in even-strength ice time.  Makes no sense.

Like my opinion of Orr...dressed? Why bother? Play a 4th line of young up and coming grinders rather than playing that bum for 1:30 game....

Bodie's 3rd among forwards in even-strength ice-time.

They hadn't corrected it yet according to Mirtle, but still 15:00 for McClement.

If one were to look back at all the games this year, I think there would be a pretty hilarious correspondence between the games when McClement get 14+ minutes of icetime, and losses.

But Randy doesn't do that because Randy doesn't do numbers. Randy is a gut-man. That's why we love him.

Way to protect the goalie, guys. Way to protect the goalie. The Leafs could have 3 guys in net and they'd still be losing.
