There is a certain Facebook group to provide access to Leafs games.  Someone posted that they would eat cat poop if the Leafs when the Leafs were down 3-0.  Whoops

There's no goddamn way I'm providing a link to this... but... he did it...

I've really been impressed with how Muzzin has fit in. It really feels as though going forward with him, Rielly and Dermott the team really only needs one of Sandin/Liljegren to be a player for that to be a very good base for a defense. Obviously you'll need to supplement it when some of the Marleau/cap increase money but it's not a terrible spot to be in long term.

His little short exit passes have been great.  He'll be dead tired. Hold the puck in the defensive zone and instead of flipping the puck into the neutral zone to kill the shift he'll get a nice little chip pass to start a transition.  Very nice to see.

How have we not fired this coach already? How come he didn?t tear a strip off these kids for their lackadaisical loafish play?

It?s hard to cheer for this team when they are dead last in the nhl. At least we have the draft to look forward to.

What will you say when they miss the playoffs? Puck luck to blame?
What will you say with the inevitable heat death of the universe? Puck luck?

Game Day Threads are now like going to a movie theatre where the loudest, dumbest people in there complain by the 15 minute mark about how the heroes haven't won yet.
I wish I could upvote this times a million.

I love Kappi but when Kadri is back it is so time to 34/29 it.

There's been a lot of talk about how it's possible this team doesn't have a better record than they did last year despite a better roster, and the fact that we still haven't really seen Matthews and peak-Nylander playing together probably explains a lot of that. It's late February, and for a variety of reasons, we still haven't seen our most ideal line-up.

I?d also add that a lot of last season?s points were on the miragey end of the spectrum (winning nearly all the shootouts and OTs). This season?s pretty real deal and banking points even when only half clicking. Going 60 games before losing 3 in a row (still getting a point) is Nylander level consistency.

What will YOU say if they miss? Will having played Chicken Little for months beforehand somehow make you feel better about it? Honestly curious...

I?m only able to tangentially catch this game (seems like the way to go tonight). Matthews has been reverse scouting goalies. He pulled this off on Fleury too, knowing they?re almost always cheating top corners.

Seriously. I get hedging your bets so that even if a bad thing happens you can at least fall back to "I was right" but aside from that being transparent, in the long run nobody cares about who is right and wrong about any of this.

The Leafs are a good team. They've got a very high powered offense, a good goalie and an ok defense that isn't where we'd ideally like. Their odds of making the playoffs are very high. Despite that, the odds against them getting past the 2nd round of the playoffs are pretty high. The Lightning are the best team in the league right now and they're in the Leafs' division. Nothing we can do about that.

There are a lot of possible outcomes to this season. The overwhelming probability is that whatever one we get will be disappointing, either a ridiculous crashout in which they don't make the playoffs or advancing deep into the playoffs only to not win at some point. If the Leafs get one of those endings, whichever one, my reaction will be to get bummed out for a couple days and then start watching Baseball. Either way, I'm not going to get tied in knots uselessly worrying about which one we're going to get.

Kapanen has become one of my new favorites the way he was trash talking the Habs. I mean I always liked him but the passion he put into that puts him into legend status
