Canadiens @ Leafs - May 31st, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Come on guys.  They have gotten better as games have gone on.  That was probably their best 1st period of the series

Keep controlling the play and wear out old man Weber

I'll take that as an opener.  But they have got to find a away to get more shots on Price.

Ya it probably was! Also, it's just a game, supposed to be fun.... Bob Loblaw.

Right HS, this feels like the first goal will come off the first bad mistake someone makes.  Hoepfully it's not us.

Feels like a first team to score is gonna win kind of game.

It has the feel of a 1-0 OT game doesn't it...nothing getting through to the net. Decent effort, though. I'm happy with that.

The Leafs look like a team where the individuals are playing below their best and while clearly those individuals are like for like better than their opponent in most cases, the opponents are playing better as a team and playing above the sum of their parts.

Throw in the blatant lack of pantry calls for things that are penalties all year in the regular season and it actually probably tips the balance slightly in favour of Montreal. They look more likely to win to me, so far.

Bob Loblaw just dropped a law bomb on his law blog.

It certainly levels the playing field. Personally, I don't think there's that much difference between the teams with the Leafs missing Tavares and Muzzin (and others like Hyman and Foligno not at 100%). Add in the amount of obstruction being allowed and the game is basically a toss up IMO.

That's a fair assessment, now that Muzzin's out.

Hard to argue against. Throw in an opposing goalie like Price and you can?t count either team out.

If at any point the Leafs get 4-1 ahead, I?m downing what?s left of my beer and going out for a walk with no cellphone or ability to be contacted.

I feel like I'm watching this game in some kind of weird altered state (no drugs or alcohol involved). I kind of expect the worst case outcome and almost don't care, I just want the series to be over. I don't know if I've ever felt this way watching a Leaf game before. Maybe it's a mental self-defense mechanism.
