Game Notes
MTL
-Jakub Dobes (4-0-0, 0.98 GAA, .963 Sv%) will likely start for the Canadiens
-You did not read those stats incorrectly. 23-year old rookie Jakub Dobes is a perfect 4-0 to start his career and has only given up 4 goals total in 4 games (2 of which went to OT)
-It's not just Dobes who is on fire in Montreal right now. The team is 11-2-1 in their last 14 games and are now in a close race for the final 2 playoff spots in the East
TOR
-Joseph Woll (15-8-0, 2.66 GAA, .907 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs

I guess no Xhekaj v Reaves. If Leafs had lost against Devils maybe Berube would play Reaves to encourage it.
I was hoping to see that. Reaves is all talk anyway. Had his chance with Arber and did nothing and I get the sense he wants no part of him. As much as he hasn't done much he should be in the lineup I can see Xjackass taking advantage of the situation. As far as the game please take away Laine on the PP. Guy does absolutely nothing but stand in his spot waiting for a one timer. Let someone else beat you.

I hope you won't hate me azzurri but Xhekaj is the one Hab I like. Best name in sports. The rest of them, as usual, are a collection of weenies.

Dewar didn't have the best game against New Jersey but Reaves continues to get participation trophies

Dewar hasn't really been good all year. Time to move on. Same with RR but fuggiddaboutit because Berube loves him.

The Lorentz-Kampf-Dewar line have a 59.42% CF and 60.35 xGF%. Lorentz and Kampf without Dewar are at 44.96 CF and 43.65 xGF%.

Yeah the sample size isn't particularly large and the offence isn't there but the 4th line with Dewar has been the only one to really control play with any consistency. It really should be getting more time together (at least until/if a trade brings about a better option).

Both Reaves and Dewar have played 28 games:

Reaves has 0g and 2a, and Dewar has 0g and 3a.

Magically, Reaves is -1 and Dewar is -2.

If Reaves goes out there and beats up Jerk-ai, I'm ok with him being in the lineup tonight. But if it's his typical game where he plays 5 minutes, body-checks the boards a lot (because opponents are too quick for him), and gets a -1, then I'd prefer Dewar. Maybe this is the last opportunity for Reaves to show he can offer that component to the team.

Hmm, do I sense a bit more enthusiastic singing of the anthem from the crowd? Could it possibly be that somehow you don't want to become our 51st state??

I really wonder how many of his 89 hits this season have just been this. The home town score keeper must absolutely love him since he's somehow first in the league in hits per minutes.
