P..A...Parenteau 2-0

Babcock is ruining the Leafs forever.

But imagine what it will be like when they have some talent on offense.  He's pretty much already cleaned up the defense in less than 2 months.  Rather amazing.

Oh yeah.  I'm being sarcastic.  I want the Leafs to draft high but I don't want it to happen because the team is lazy.  If Babcock's system works quickly great.  It means that when the Leafs start injecting young kids (Nylander now with 18 points in 14 games) that there is a solid support system for them to integrate into.  That's not a bad thing.  Matthews would be nice though.

Yeah that seems to be on the Marlies in the OHL at the minute with the Marlies tied at 8 (as noted already). If I was a Toronto native I'd be spending as much time at the Ricoh as I could this year I think

Well, this is the thing: they are watchable EVERY night (and likeable, as Arn said).  Not the case the last couple of years.  Babcock has made a tremendous difference and frankly I never expected a coach could do that and that it could happen this fast.

The Marlies comeback was ridiculous.  They went into the 3rd period down 6-4.  Bibeau gave up two goals in 6 seconds to make the score 8-4.  The Marlies then scored 4 unanswered goals to tie it up.

I think Bibeau caught the Bibonic plague.  He's given up 8 goals tonight for the Marlies...who have scored 7.  Nylander has 3 assists.

EDIT: Tied at 8.

Marco Arcobello, AHL superstar, helping to lead the charge. Now scoring at a goal a game pace for the Marlies.

Right you are.  If I lived in T.O. I'd be there.

Another too many men penalty by the Leafs.  It seems that the players are always just coasting when they come off at the end of their shift which precipitates those type of calls.

If I were planning a trip to Toronto this year I'd be trying to line it up with Marlies fixtures as much as Leafs ones this time (although I'd not mind watching this Leafs team despite the lack of talent).

That wasn't a great penalty shot really from Grabner..

Ho hum...Nylander with the game winner in OT.  4 point night.  19 points in 14 games.
