Capitals @ Leafs - Nov. 25th. 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

The gap control by Leafs' D is pretty atrocious tonight. Why it Reilly backing off  Ovechkin and making himself into a screen?

More generally the team speed seems to be way down in recent games. Unclear if it's the line combos or what but it's weird.

Last night it was really noticeable to me.  Tonight, less so.

Hey, at least they started on time, just like Babcock promised.

It's bizarre to me that a rookie 20 goal scorer is toiling on the 4th line while Hymen and Komarov are sucking up ice time and contributing nothing offensively

The Leafs have looked like crap far too often this year.  This should be a fast team and they look painfully slow.  Who is responsible for that problem?

Oh I guess cross checking is a penalty again, or is it only not a penalty when done to the Leafs.

Matt Martin, won?t answer the bell after our franchise player gets mugged, takes an offensive zone penalty instead.

Utter clown shoe.

I can see why Wings fans were happy to see the back of Babcock by the end, his lineup decisions and ?favorites? are so frustrating at times.

I think the incessant line matching disrupts the rhythm of the forwards. Babcock's tendency to ignore advanced stats and play inferior lineups and line combinations also disrupts the rhythm of the forwards.

Their speed is overrated. Other than Nylander, Marner and Hyman, which forwards would you consider fast? And Nylander has looked like he's skating in mud lately, Marner is always falling down, Hyman is fast but doesn't handle the puck well.

I'm no expert, but I think Auston Matthews would be a pretty good penalty killer.

I'm basing this on my observation that he is pretty good at everything.

Mitch is fast.
