My guess is a fine.

Slap on the wrist, you're probably right.

And to be clear, I think there should be a minimum of a 1 game suspension for any illegal hit that causes an injury to the player.

Good idea.

To take it a step further, I would have like to see organizations penalized if their players get more than, say, 3 suspensions in a year. Take away their second round pick.

I'll bet that would clean up the game substantially.

Great game, all the talk after to the effect that 'no, we didn't see the Ovie oops'... hopefully there's a comeuppance.

Luck of the Irish? Dunno, maybe.  Well, whatever as the Leafs 23rd game of the season came with a lot of "coincidences" -- the late Pat Quinn wore #23; first goal came with 23 seconds left in the first; the second came with 23 seconds in the second; they scored  23 seconds right after a Washington goal; Carlyle also wore #23 during his playing days, and so.

Strange, and it came on a night of tributes to the late Leaf coach Pat Quinn, who passed away Nov.23rd...

?That?s kind of weird how that all happened and how that all unfolded like that, but maybe he?s watching over us,? forward Nazem Kadri said after the 6-2 win over Washington. ?Who knows??.

Oh, one more thing...the Leafs last goal came on shot #23 (their total SOG for the night)...as well as being their 23rd game of the season...

The sad thing is that there are plenty of people who believe this stuff. They'll babble on about all these cherry picked coincidences and the luck of the Irish and all of that, without ever thinking to ask themselves: if Quinn was so full if luck, how come he suffered all kinds if health problems and died at the relatively young age of 71?  (Which BTW does not equal 2x3, is not divisible by 23, etc.)

I understand your point, Zanz, but it is coincidental or at least it appeared to be.  As for Mr. Quinn, he didn't have the same "luck" but wherever he is in the heavens, I'm certain he was smiling that the Leafs won the game (plus full of "coincidences") on a night of tributes to him.

Call it what you will, call it what you won't, it's still what it is.

I know this is not the correct forum for this post but with the knowledge here, I doubt there is a better one. I'm looking to buy a Sundin jersey for my son for Christmas, having no luck what so ever. Does anyone have an idea as to where i might be able to buy one? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sent you a PM regarding Sundin jersey.

Leafs get blown out by Sabres.

Montreal hands Buffalo at least 3 of 4 points in a home and home....how is Montreal tied for 1st place in the NHL right now.  They have scored 3 more goals than they have given up on the year.  I know good goaltending plays into that but what an average team to be leading the league.

Take away shootout goals, and they've actually given up 1 more than they've scored. I won't be shocked to seem them go through a pretty big slump unless they really improve in a few areas.

Sure, but would you have considered, after the drubbing by Nashville, that they'd go on to win the next 3 out of 4 against top tier opponents? This is a hard team to stick a pin in. They could certainly go into a deep slump, or a minor one, or none at all.

They were talking about Montreal.

this is not last years team and this year, no Olympics. I don't care what anyone has to say, but Kessel and JVR shot their bolt last year and had no gas left in the tank, especially without a 4th line to bring them home.

That's what I saw too.
